As part of the UN Biodiversity Conference (CBD COP15) in Montreal, UNU-IAS, host of the IPSI Secretariat, co-hosted a side event on 16 December 2022 to launch the fourth phase of the Community Development and Knowledge Management for the Satoyama Initiative (COMDEKS). A flagship programme of the International Partnership for the Satoyama Initiative (IPSI), COMDEKS promotes sustainable use of biodiversity and natural resources within local communities through small-scale project financing. The event was organised in partnership with UNDP; Global Environment Facility (GEF); GEF Small Grants Programme (GEF-SGP), Ministry of Environment, Japan (MOEJ); and the Secretariat of the CBD (SCDB).
