Actionable Implementation Plan (AIP) for the IPSI Strategy and Plan of Action 2023–2030 Coming Soon

2026.04.29

Adopted at the Tenth Global Conference of the International Partnership for the Satoyama Initiative (IPSI-10), held from 3–5 March 2026 in Riobamba, Ecuador, the Actionable Implementation Plan (AIP) provides a clear and practical reference to operationalize the IPSI Strategy and Plan of Action (PoA) 2023–2030. Its development was built on a consultative process involving IPSI members and partners. It translates strategic objectives into concrete, coordinated actions that guide IPSI members in advancing biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, and sustainable livelihoods through socio-ecological production landscapes and seascapes (SEPLS).

Structured around five strategic objectives, the AIP outlines priority actions and its examples of actions to strengthen knowledge co-production, management and uptake, enhance institutional frameworks and capacity development, promote conservation through protected areas and other effective area-based conservation measures (OECMs), advance ecosystem restoration, and support sustainable value chain development.

Collectively, the AIP supports coordinated implementation of IPSI’s work and contributes to the achievement of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) targets.
